The Rotary Club of Newport Uskmouth is pleased to confirm that its Grand Charity Draw 2011 has been completed. Tickets sales were up on last year, with a total of 18,034 tickets being sold. In money terms it means £18,034 has been raised by and for thirty-nine local charities and good causes.
In the three years that the Rotary Club of Newport Uskmouth has organised this event a total of £50,612 has been raised. Credit for this is due to the members of club’s Community Service Committee and to the Charity organisations ticket sellers.
Club President David Buckley said “I would like to thank everyone involved in the draw - the organising committee, prize donors, charity ticket sellers and the people who bought tickets. The energy, commitment and generosity of people and businesses is a credit to Newport.”
