Haiti Disaster Appeal

The Rotary Club of Newport Uskmouth would like to thank all those who donated money for the Haiti Disaster Appeal at Magor Motorway Services on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th January.

The team of Rotarians who exhibited a ShelterBox tent and contents raised a total of £1,923.63.

Club President Mark Soady, speaking on behalf of the Club, has expressed extreme gratitude for the generous donations made on both days. He said that people had responded positively to the suffering of Haitians. He also thanked The South Wales Argus for promoting the collection, which had resulted in a number of people driving to the services area just to make a donation.

The Rotary Club would like to publicly thank the Manager of First Motorway Services, M4, Magor, Mr. Ian Hatchley, for his continued support of fundraising events.
